Pinellas County offers several publications to keep its employees, supervisors and retirees informed. Current issues are available below. To access archived publications from previous years, please contact Human Resources at (727) 464-3367, option 2, or email AskHR@pinellas.gov.

The Pen

The Pinellas Employees Newsletter (Pen) offers news and information for Pinellas County employees and retirees. Regular content includes features on new hires, service anniversaries, retirements, promotions, Ask HR, and important announcements. The Pen Extra section features employee and family news such as births, weddings, graduations, celebrations, kudos, memorials, and free classified ads.

New Format

For employees, we provide the Pen in a SharePoint-based format and a printable format. We email both options to all employees monthly.

Retirees: Please see the Retiree Pen Connection.

Pen Submissions

Use the links below to submit items for the Pen newsletter. The deadline is the 10th of the month for the newsletter published at the end of the month.

Retiree Pen Connection

New Format

For retirees, we combined the Pen and Retiree Connection into a monthly newsletter, Retiree Pen Connection, in a web-based format. This includes all Pen articles except for those pertaining only to employees such as employee surveys and learning opportunities.

The Retiree Pen Connection is for retired Pinellas County employees and covers topics such as benefits, resources, REPCO, health, and wellness. The monthly newsletter includes articles from the Pen plus retiree-focused articles previously distributed in the quarterly Retiree Connection.

Access the latest Wellness Program events, activities and updates. To Your Health also includes educational well-being articles, nutrition, recipes and exercise tips.
