You can drop off household chemicals\, including gasoline\, oil\, paint\, fluorescent bulbs and certain batteries\, for free through the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) program. Quantity limits apply. Many of these old chemicals are fire hazards and could pollute your home and neighborhood during a hurricane. Clean them out now before the start of hurricane season on June 1 to help protect your community from environmental contamination and avoid waiting in long lines right before a storm! \nYou can drop off household chemicals at the HHW Center\, located at 2855 109th Ave. N.\, St. Petersburg\, which is open select days from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.\, and HHW North\, located at 29582 U.S. 19 N\, Clearwater\, which is open select Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. \nFor more information\, visit Pinellas.gov/hhw. DESCRIPTION:A subcommittee of the Forward Pinellas Board has been formed to review the Special Act that created and governs the Pinellas Planning Council.  This subcommittee will work together over a series of meetings to recommend reforms to the responsibilities of the Pinellas Planning Council as outlined in Chapter 2012-245\, Laws of Florida. The goal is to explore how the Council can better align its responsibilities\, with or without a merger of the Tampa Bay Area metropolitan planning organizations\, with the evolving needs of the municipalities in Pinellas County.
