SUMMARY:Special Act Review Subcommittee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:A subcommittee of the Forward Pinellas Board has been formed to review the Special Act that created and governs the Pinellas Planning Council.  This subcommittee will work together over a series of meetings to recommend reforms to the responsibilities of the Pinellas Planning Council as outlined in Chapter 2012-245\, Laws of Florida. The goal is to explore how the Council can better align its responsibilities\, with or without a merger of the Tampa Bay Area metropolitan planning organizations\, with the evolving needs of the municipalities in Pinellas County.
