Hurricane Preparedness Day brings information to hundreds of residents

Hurricane season is here, and to help residents prepare, Pinellas County hosted a free Hurricane Preparedness Day event on June 4, providing an estimated 300 residents with a wealth of information and resources. The family-friendly event was held at the Lealman Exchange, 5175 45th St. N, St. Petersburg.

“Our goal is to empower Pinellas County residents to be as prepared as possible,” said Pinellas County Emergency Management Director Cathie Perkins. “We offer informative ways for residents to learn how to protect themselves and their families throughout the season.”
