Applications sought for Unincorporated Seminole Sports Association
Applications are being accepted for four citizen appointments to the Unincorporated Seminole Sports Association (USSA). These appointments are for two-year terms, beginning on the date of appointment.
The purpose of the Unincorporated Seminole Sports Association is to provide resources to serve the recreational needs of the unincorporated Seminole area. It was created by an ordinance passed by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners.
The Unincorporated Seminole Sports Association is made up of seven members, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, who are qualified Pinellas County electors:
- Four at-large directors, each of whom resides within the Unincorporated Seminole Sports District and are not associated as board members with the Cross Bayou Athletic Association, Seminole Youth Athletic Association or Seminole Junior Warhawks Athletic Association
- One director who is nominated by the Cross Bayou Athletic Association Board of Directors
- One director who is nominated by the Seminole Junior Warhawks Athletic Association Board of Directors.
- One director who is nominated by the Seminole Youth Athletic Association Board of Directors

Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the St. Petersburg College Seminole Campus.
Applications are due by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Applications are available at Pinellas.gov/boards-councils-and-committees. The applications and nominations will be reviewed by the Board of County Commissioners, and appointments will be made at an upcoming meeting.
