Pinellas County seeks public input on fair housing, community development needs
Pinellas County is partnering with the City of Largo to gather public input that will shape housing and community development goals over the next five years.
The 5-Year Consolidated Plan for 2025-2029 will outline countywide community development priorities and multiyear goals for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Programs. These programs support community social services, housing, infrastructure, and public facility needs, and determine goals and strategies to address those needs.
The plan specifically addresses the needs of low-and-moderate income residents and the neighborhoods they live in.
Residents, local organizations and agencies are invited to participate in the process by completing an online Community Needs Assessment at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PinellasNeedsAssessmentSurvey until Friday, Nov. 22, 2024.
The County is also analyzing impediments to fair housing by looking at laws, ordinances, statutes, administrative policies and local conditions that affect the location, availability and accessibility of housing.
The Fair Housing Survey can be completed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PinellasFairHousingSurvey until Friday, Nov. 22, 2024.
