Pinellas extends survey deadline for fair housing, community needs

Pinellas County is extending the deadline for two surveys that will shape the way millions in public funds are spent on community development over the next five years and determining how local government can remove barriers to fair housing for everyone.

Strong public input for the Fair Housing Survey and Community Needs Assessment will help the County make plans for social services, community housing, infrastructure, public facilities and more.

Both surveys are now extended until Friday, Dec. 6, 2024:

The Fair Housing Survey looks at impediments to fair housing by looking at laws, ordinances, statutes, administrative policies and local conditions that affect the location, availability and accessibility of housing.

The Community Needs Assessment Survey will drive the County’s 5-Year Consolidated Plan for 2025-2029, outlining countywide community development priorities and multiyear goals for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Programs.
