SBA Business Recovery Center in Clearwater to permanently close Friday, April 25

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Business Recovery Center (BRC), which has been assisting business owners, homeowners, and renters with disaster loan applications, will permanently close tomorrow, Friday, April 25, at 2 p.m. The BRC in Tampa will remain open.

The Clearwater BRC, located at Pinellas County Economic Development at the St. Pete College EpiCenter, Suite 1-200, 13805 58th Street N., will be open Thursday, April 24, until 4 p.m., and Friday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome; no appointment is necessary to speak with a customer service representative.

Business owners, homeowners, and renters can continue to receive assistance at the Business Resource & Assessment Center in Hillsborough County, located at the Entrepreneur Collaborative Center, 2101 E. Palm Ave., Tampa, FL 33605. The Tampa center is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is April 27, 2025. The deadline to return economic injury applications is June 30, 2025, for Hurricane Helene and July 11, 2025, for Hurricane Milton. Loan recipients have up to two years from their loan approval date to request an increase of up to 20% of their verified physical damages to cover the cost of mitigation improvements.
