Human Rights Board

The Human Rights Board is responsible for insuring that Pinellas County complies with the provisions of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972, and all other federal, state, and local laws pertaining to discrimination and Equal Employment Opportunity.

The Pinellas County Office of Human Rights is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the affirmative action plan, which includes preparing reports, making recommendations and conducting investigations. The Office of Human Rights is under the direction of the Human Rights Board and is led by the Director of Human Rights, who is appointed by and answerable directly to the Board.
