Unincorporated Seminole Sports Association
Provides resources to serve the recreational needs of the unincorporated Seminole area. The Unincorporated Seminole Sports Association was created by an ordinance passed by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) and could be dissolved by a similar act of the Board repealing or changing the ordinance that created it.
Member Description
Seven members:
- One director who is nominated by the Cross Bayou Athletic Association Board of Directors, and appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, who is a qualified Pinellas County elector;
- One director who is nominated by the Seminole Junior Warhawks Athletic Association Board of Directors, and appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, who is a qualified Pinellas County elector;
- One director who is nominated by the Seminole Youth Athletic Association Board of Directors, and appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, who is a qualified Pinellas County elector;
- Four at-large directors appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, each of whom is a qualified Pinellas County elector and resides within the Unincorporated Seminole Youth Sports District and are not associated as board members with the Cross Bayou Athletic Association, Seminole Youth Athletic Association, or Seminole Junior Warhawks Athletic Association.
Applications are being accepted until 3:oo p.m., March 8, 2024.
Meetings
Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.
