y EMS & Fire Administration will be hosting an EMS/Fire Workforce Workshop to address critical issues related to systemwide retention, recruitment, and training. With approximately 50 Sunstar Paramedic and 50 Fire Rescue positions currently open, it is imperative that we come together to brainstorm innovative solutions to our workforce challenges. The goal of the meeting is to identify how big a problem workforce sustainability is and discuss how to improve Pinellas County’s acute EMS/Fire staffing shortages.
