Pinellas County modifies North County reclaimed watering restrictions

Pinellas County Utilities is modifying reclaimed watering restrictions for North County customers on Sunday, June 22, as the reclaimed water supply increases.
Beginning Sunday, reclaimed water customers residing north of SR 580 may water twice a week based on their house address according to the following schedule.
- Addresses ending in 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 may irrigate on Tuesdays and/or Saturdays
- Addresses ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 may irrigate on Wednesdays and/or Sundays
- Mixed address or no address properties such as common areas may irrigate on Wednesdays and/or Sundays
- Watering is not allowed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
“While we’re seeing an increase in rainfall, we continue to encourage water conservation year-round,” said Pinellas County Utilities Director Jeremy Waugh. “It’s the most important action we can take to sustain our water supplies, meet future needs and reduce demands on Florida’s water-dependent ecosystems such as springs, rivers, lakes and wetlands. It can also help our customers save money on their water bill.”
Residents are encouraged to use rain sensors to avoid over watering as rainfall increases and to harvest rainwater to water flower beds, herb gardens and potted plants.
