Opportunities for Minority-Owned Businesses
The Pinellas County Community Revitalization Division is committed to providing equal opportunities for Minority Business Enterprises and Women’s Business Enterprises to participate in contract and procurement for construction services under any U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funded project.
Pinellas County encourages businesses to seek certification so they can stay competitive and compete for County contracts. Construction contractors use the State’s Online Directory to locate Minority Business Enterprises and Women’s Business Enterprises.
Office of Supplier Diversity
The State of Florida’s Department of Management Services Office of Supplier Diversity helps improve business and economic opportunities for Florida’s minority-, women- and veteran-owned business enterprises.
Efforts towards this goal are categorized into primary functions including:
- Certification of business enterprises.
- Advocacy and outreach.
- Matchmaking activities.
