The Tierra Verde Sports Complex is a County-owned property. In the mid-2000s, local residents advocated for a ball field where their children could play. In response, the County provided both the land and grant funding to help create the fields.
Since then, TVCA has been responsible for maintaining the Sports Complex, helping it grow into the facility it is today. However, in December 2024, TVCA ended its agreement with the County to maintain the area. The decision came from the Board’s desire to reduce its levels of service and focus on its core mission as a homeowners association (HOA).
Current State
The Sports Complex is being maintained by the County’s Parks Department as an interim solution. This level of service includes mowing the area according to the county’s mowing schedule and trash removal twice a week.
Future State
If Tierra Verde residents desire an enhanced level of service for the sports complex, a funding source must be established.
