Ongoing Adoption Promotions
All adoptable animals are spayed/neutered and come with a microchip with free lifetime registration, age-appropriate vaccinations, a one-year Pinellas County pet license, a bag of pet food and a toy or treat. Standard adoption policies still apply for ongoing adoption promotions.
- Vets Adopt Pets Program: We work along with VetsAdoptPets.org to celebrate and thank Veterans for their service to all Americans. As a show of our appreciation, we waive adoption fees for Veterans adopting pets from our shelter. Veterans must show proof of military status and meet our adoption requirements.
- Birthday Paw-ty Adoption Special: Our dogs and cats want to celebrate your birthday with you, and they’re bringing a special gift to the party — waived adoption fees. Visit the shelter within 10 days of your birthday, show our staff valid proof of your birthdate (ID, driver’s license, etc.), and we’ll waive your adoption fee for qualified animals. This special offer can only be used once per household.
- Spring Free from the Shelter: We’re helping our longest stays spring free from the shelter! Through May 31, 2026, we’re waiving adoption fees for dogs and cats who have been in the shelter’s care for more than 60 days. Check our Facebook and Instagram pages for spotlights on some of the eligible animals including how long they’ve been in the shelter, their strengths, personality traits and more.
