Rental Assistance Program to launch for homes substantially damaged by Hurricane Idalia

Starting Thursday, September 12, 2024, financial help will be available for Pinellas County residents residing outside the City of St. Petersburg* affected by Hurricane Idalia. The Pinellas County Disaster Rental Assistance Program offers support to those whose housing units were deemed substantially damaged and now are uninhabitable.

  • Application Process: You can work with a Case Manager who will guide you through the application process. Rent payments will be made directly to your landlord or property manager.
  • Funding Details: The program, funded by $1,626,000 from the State of Florida’s Hurricane Housing Recovery Program (HHRP), will be offered on a first-qualified, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
