Heritage Village
Heritage Village is a 21-acre living history museum located in the heart of Pinellas County. Its natural pine and palmetto landscape is home to some of our most historic buildings.
You can donate in one of three ways to help preserve these structures:
General Donations – Heritage Village features 31 historic structures and features, some dating back to the 19th century, including a school, church, sponge warehouse, railroad depot, and store, as well as a variety of period homes. General donations help maintain both the structures and the grounds of the Village.
Green Benches – The green benches at Heritage Village were designed in the spirit of the once-iconic benches in St. Petersburg. You can help preserve this legacy by becoming a Green Bench Supporter. For a $500 donation, you’ll receive a plaque on a bench plus a public recognition sign to showcase your support for the ongoing restoration and interpretation of our historic structures.
Turner Bungalow Restoration – This historic 1915 structure, in the distinct Florida vernacular bungalow style, was the home of Alfred Cleveland and Amber Clark Turner. Your donations will help us restore and preserve this significant architectural landmark and piece of Clearwater history. All donations of $100 or more will have a plaque placed inside the structure once restored.
Florida Botanical Gardens
The Florida Botanical Gardens showcase flora, fauna and natural resources in educational surroundings that teach and promote environmentally friendly techniques. Your donations help to:
- Maintain the gardens.
- Provide new and replacement plantings to keep the gardens in bloom year-round.
- Cover the cost of repairs and new expansion projects.

Parks and Preserves
The Parks & Conservation Resources department is dedicated to the preservation of our park land, environmentally sensitive land, and healthy air, as well as the history of Pinellas County. Our team works toward this goal by building partnerships with the community, educating the public, and using green practices to maintain our quality of life.
There are several different ways you can donate to help us in our mission.
General Parks Donations – Your donations help to maintain the county’s park land and preserves.
Weedon Island Preserve – Weedon Island Preserve is an expansive 3,190-acre natural area located on Tampa Bay. This coastal system is home to numerous species of native plants and animals, an educational facility, and a rich cultural history. Today, the preserve protects this wide diversity of natural and cultural resources for current and future generations, and is also a well-known birding and fishing site. Your donations help to preserve the grounds and maintain the onsite education center.
Brooker Creek Preserve – At approximately 8,700 acres, Brooker Creek Preserve is the largest natural area in Pinellas County. Consisting primarily of forested wetlands and pine flatwoods, the Preserve provides a refuge for native flora and fauna, as well as an opportunity for citizens to explore the natural beauty of wild Florida through hiking and equestrian trails. It also protects a significant portion of the Brooker Creek Watershed. Your donations help preserve and maintain the grounds.
Land Management – Parks & Conservation Resources also manages our native ecosystems using sound resource management practices that promote quality and natural biological diversity. Your donations help with restoration projects and ecological preservation.

Pinellas County 4-H Club / University of Florida
The 4-H program offers school-age children the opportunity to learn about topics they enjoy, make new friends, and be themselves in an inclusive, supportive environment. Children who are involved in 4-H activities are less likely to become involved in negative activities and more likely to do better in school. Your donations help with staffing and program supplies.
