NOTICE: Board of County Commissioners Attorney-Client Session

The Board of County Commissioners will hold an attorney-client session at Pinellas County Communications, 333 Chestnut Street, Clearwater, to discuss settlement negotiations or strategy related to litigation expenditures pertaining to the pending litigation in the case of Pinellas County v. American Empire Builders, et al. – Circuit Civil Case No. 24-005416-CI.
The attorney-client session will commence at an open public meeting at approximately 1:00 p.m. at Pinellas County Communications, 333 Chestnut Street, Clearwater, then the public meeting will be recessed, and a closed attorney-client session will commence in accordance with Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes. The closed session is anticipated to last approximately one hour.
Following the closed attorney-client session, the meeting will be reopened to the public. Should a vote be entertained after the closed attorney-client session in an open public meeting, members of the public can address the County Commission in person. If no vote is taken, the meeting will then be adjourned, in accordance with Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes.
Persons attending the closed session of the meeting are Commissioners Dave Eggers, Chris Latvala, Rene Flowers, Brian Scott, Vince Nowicki, Kathleen Peters, and Chris Scherer; County Administrator Barry Burton; County Attorney Jewel White; Chief Assistant County Attorney Donald S. Crowell; Managing Assistant County Attorney Christy Donovan Pemberton; Brett Henson, Outside Counsel; and Luis Prats, Outside Counsel. The closed session will be recorded by Executive Reporting Service (certified court reporter).
