Feather Sound Project Information
Feather Sound Municipal Services Taxing Unit
In 1990, Feather Sound residents approved a voter referendum establishing a Municipal Services Taxing Unit (MSTU). This voluntary tax allows residents to fund enhanced levels of service beyond the standard services provided by the County.
The Feather Sound MSTU was established to support the acquisition and maintenance of street lighting, as well as the maintenance of recreational areas and community green spaces.
The Feather Sound Community Services District Board is the entity that receives the MSTU funding and is responsible for managing and maintaining these services within the community. Each year, the nonprofit board submits its funding request to the Board of County Commissioners as part of the County’s annual budget process.
For more information about the board’s membership, responsibilities, and meeting schedule, please visit their website.

Any other, issues, comments or concerns can be directed to your Community Coordinator, Audrey Ables. Her contact information is in the upper left-hand corner of this page.
