Pinellas County recognizes the importance of manatee protection and has policies in place to protect seagrass beds and other habitats for endangered and threatened species.
Pinellas County’s Comprehensive Plan supports such measures as enforcing no-wake zones, establishing seagrass protection areas and providing manatee caution signage.
