Board of Adjustment and Appeals vacancy announced

Applications are being accepted for an Alternate position on the Pinellas County Board of Adjustment and Appeals (BOAA). This position is for a term of four years and will serve in the absence of any regular member at a BOAA meeting.
The BOAA has the authority to grant variances, nonconforming use modifications, and Type 2 Use approvals in appropriate cases. This board also hears appeals of administrative determinations related to vested rights as well as the allowable use of property under existing zoning. This is a working board and is seeking an alternate member who can dedicate the time to attend monthly meetings on a consistent basis. Applicants must be registered to vote in Pinellas County.
The BOAA consists of seven members. Meetings of the BOAA are held on a monthly basis, usually the first Wednesday at 9:00 am. Board positions are unpaid, voluntary positions.

Mandatory applications may be found at www.pinellascounty.org/boards and must be received no later than 3 p.m. on May 23, 2025. The Board of County Commissioners will review all applications and make their selection at a future meeting.
