The temporary sand stockpile along the shoreline in Indian Rocks Beach from Driftwood Sands Condominium to north of the Camaron Cove Resort (27th Ave. N. to 24th Ave. N.) is expected to be used for additional dunes soon.
Please stay clear of all marked active construction areas.
Additional dune construction ongoing
To complete approximately 22 dune areas in Indian Rocks Beach, Indian Shores and Redington Shores, the beach nourishment contractor is placing a temporary sand stockpile along the shoreline in Indian Rocks Beach from Driftwood Sands Condominium to north of the Camaron Cove Resort ( between 27th Ave. N. to 24th Ave. N. )
The area will see a temporary stockpile of sand seaward of the permanently constructed dunes. This will be an active construction area.
Residents in Indian Rocks Beach, Indian Shores and Redington Shores may see some construction activity as dunes are completed. We ask residents and visitors to stay clear of all marked active construction areas and find temporary alternative routes to the beach front. Work in this area is tentatively expected to be complete by December 24.
