Project Update – March 21, 2025

In order to correct roadway unevenness, crews will be working to improve sections of 53rd Ave. N over the next couple of weeks. Emergency measures have been applied as a short-term fix, which will be modified as time allows for a more aesthetic and sustainable solution. Please adhere to posted signage during this time and use caution when driving in the area.

Project Overview

The existing sanitary sewer force main running below 53rd Avenue N. from Duhme Road to east of Seminole Boulevard is nearing the end of its operational lifespan. This project will use a combination of open trench construction and subsurface directional drilling to replace approximately 2,900 feet of the current 24-inch diameter pipe with 20-inch PVC pipe to increase durability and meet industry standards.
