Project Overview
The existing sanitary sewer force main running north under 62nd Street North from St. Joe’s Creek to 44th Avenue North, and then east to just beyond 61st Way North in Kenneth City will be extended 600 linear feet to increase system capacity, improve system performance and reduce the risk of system backups in this area.
Project Goals
- Improve system reliability and resiliency.
- Expand sewer system capacity.
- Reduce the risk of sanitary sewer back-ups and overflows.
Project Location
This project is located on 62nd Street North from St. Joe’s Creek to 44th Avenue North, and on 44th Avenue North from 62nd Street North to just east of 61st Way North.
Project Funding
This project is funded by Pinellas County’s Sewer Enterprise Fund.
Anticipated Project Timeline
Constructed is slated to begin in mid-November 2024 with an expected completion date of early spring-2025. On-site construction typically takes place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and occasionally on Saturdays. The construction schedule may vary due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather.
Please Note: This project will require a temporary change to the traffic patterns in this area. All changes will be clearly signed in advance of- and during the construction period.
