Project Overview

This project is being completed in cooperation with the City of Pinellas Park and includes improvements to both of the municipal wastewater collection systems. These improvements are designed to increase the capacity and reliability of the wastewater system. This project involves the installation of a new 24-inch force main, rehabilitation of the existing 42-inch gravity interceptor, and enhancements to Master Station #31 in the City of Pinellas Park.

Project Goals

  • Increase system capacity to meet future growth.
  • Reduce incidences of Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSOs) by installing a new 24-inch force main.
  • Enhance reliability and performance by rehabilitating the existing 42-inch gravity interceptor, a large sewer pipe that carries wastewater from smaller neighborhood lines to a central location.
  • Modernize Master Station #31 to improve efficiency and future maintenance.
  • Increase the longevity of the system with the intended upgrades.
