Project Status
Design: In progress
Project Overview
The approximately 37-acre project site is in the Greater Ridgecrest area, with a 5-acre stormwater pond located in the northwest corner. The area is bordered to the west by McKay Creek, to the south by undeveloped Pinellas County property, to the north by Ridgecrest Park and to the east by 119th Street North and residential properties.
Currently, the site topography is not level, with the southwest side approximately 12 feet higher than the east. The site is currently used for overflow parking during some events.
The objectives of this project are to regrade the site, install a gas mitigation system to support reuse of the former construction and demolition debris disposal area as a future greenspace, and to formalize a grass parking lot with a shuttle bus pick-up/drop-off area.
