Vina Del Mar Neighborhood, St Pete Beach Water Main Improvements

Project Description

Vina Del Mar Neighborhood is an island community located within the City of St. Pete Beach. Several water distribution mains in the area, ranging from 2 to 10 inches in diameter, are made of aging cast iron and galvanized pipes that have surpassed their useful life and are currently exposed to a harsh saltwater environment. This project aims to replace the majority of the existing distribution system throughout the neighborhood. Improvements include the installation of new HDPE water mains using directional drilling, replacement of old service lines, addition of new fire hydrants to enhance public safety, installation of permanent blow-offs to improve water quality, and various related appurtenance upgrades. The project will significantly improve the reliability, safety, and performance of the neighborhood’s water distribution system.
