Purchasing Ordinance

Pinellas County is a charter county of the State of Florida and provides a full range of government services. The County is governed by a Board of County Commissioners consisting of seven publicly elected officials. A majority of the commission selects a chairman and a vice-chairman. The County Administrator, who is appointed by and reports directly to the commission, manages the day-to-day business of the County.

Additionally, the Pinellas County Purchasing and Risk Management Division conducts business in compliance with specific rules and regulations outlined in the purchasing ordinance. The division maintains complete and accurate records. It conducts procurement activities while engaging in effective, efficient and economical business practices.
