While this is similar to a homeless shelter, an emergency shelter typically specializes in people fleeing a specific type of situation, such as natural or man-made disasters, domestic violence or victims of sexual abuse.

An emergency homeless shelter and jail-diversion program designed to be a safe haven for people who are homeless and require services to get back on their feet. Clothing and supportive services are available.

Salvation Army St. Petersburg Emergency Shelter

Emergency shelter for men, women and families that offers case management services to help clients find permanent housing.

St. Vincent de Paul C.A.R.E. Center

Emergency shelter for adults (18+), veterans and families. Food and clothing vouchers and utility assistance are available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Turning Point

An emergency intervention shelter and inebriate receiving facility that provides emergency intervention shelter services for homeless adults with substance abuse issues and accepts inebriated adults directly from the street. Clients may also be linked to community-based health and human services including temporary shelter, nourishment, shower facilities, case management, supportive counseling, skills-building groups and 12-Step meetings.
