This 5-acre boating facility offers direct access to St. Joseph Sound and the Gulf of Mexico. Acquired by Pinellas County in September 2006, this facility is open to the public 24 hours a day and features a boat launching ramp, 50 vehicle and trailer parking spaces, 20 vehicle parking spaces, a designated boat and motor rinse area, and restroom facilities.
*The Sutherland Bayou Boat Ramp is undergoing pavement and driveway improvements. Phase 1 of the project, the driveway improvements, is complete. Phase 2 of the project will disrupt use of the boat ramp. The facility will be inaccessible from May 1- July 31, 2025 (predicted) due to pavement resurfacing of the parking lot. - Pay stations accept only credit card payments – Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
- Pay by Plate System replaces the need to display parking decals.

The boat ramp’s name identifies the adjoining body of water, Sutherland Bayou. This property was previously privately owned and known as the “Palm Harbor Resort.”
