Post-storm repairs in unincorporated Pinellas

Pinellas County is actively working to help our residents get back on their feet while following guidelines that will protect our community from future harm. The County has waived fees and expedited permits in unincorporated areas for repairs following this year’s hurricanes. If you live in a flood hazard area and your home was damaged, your home is part of the County’s Substantial Damage Assessment Process. This is a process the federal government requires all cities and counties that participate in the National Flood Insurance Program to follow. Check out this video for more information on this process or visit our website.

Remember: If you hire an unlicensed contractor or try to get work done without permits, you may end up with shoddy workmanship and be required to undo the work or pay fines. Check the contractor’s license.
