Logan Laboratory and Pumping Station Education Resources
Pinellas County Utilities’ Water Quality division is responsible for monitoring water quality, laboratory analysis, and evaluating and reporting services for water and wastewater treatment facilities at the County-run Logan Laboratory. Here, our utility ensures safe drinking water is provided to all Pinellas County Utilities customers and evaluates the environmental impacts of wastewater treatment disposal methods. With our full-service certified laboratory and state-of-the-art equipment, analyses are conducted for drinking water, wastewater, environmental surface, groundwater and biosolids.
As a NELAP (National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program) accredited lab, the facility undergoes routine audits to ensure we are meeting federal testing standards and reporting data of known accuracy and exceptional quality. The Logan Lab conducts on average 50,000 tests per year and is certified by the state of Florida to perform comprehensive sample analysis on over 85 different testing procedures. The laboratory helps to ensure the drinking water of Pinellas County meets or exceeds all federal and state standards.
Our dedicated Water Quality Monitoring Team is continually looking for ways to improve the water treatment process and protect Pinellas County water resources while providing a wide range of services and programs to ensure safe and clean water.
