Personal
A Pinellas native, Commissioner Charlie Justice was born and raised in St. Petersburg. He graduated from Pinellas public schools and earned degrees at St. Petersburg College and the University of South Florida.
In 2000, he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives. In 2006, he won a seat in the Florida Senate. Coinciding with his time as a legislator, Commissioner Justice had a career at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg creating the Office of Leadership Development and Programming where he worked connecting students to leaders and leadership opportunities in the Bay area.
During his ten years of legislative service, he was recognized for his leadership in education, ethics and elections, and improving services for our seniors and our veterans.
Commissioner Justice loved growing up here. When his daughters set out on their own, he wants them to feel the same way – that there is nowhere better to grow up, live, work, play and retire than Pinellas County. In addition to his passion for public service, he is an avid sports fan, mystery novel reader and dog lover.
Commissioner Justice is married to Kathleen. They reside in west St. Petersburg with their two daughters.
