Heritage Village celebrates dual milestones at All-American Bash

Pinellas County residents gathered to celebrate two historic anniversaries at the All-American 50 at 250 Bash at Heritage Village Museum & Park on Saturday. The free community festival honored Heritage Village’s 50th anniversary along with America’s 250th anniversary.
Attendees dressed in patriotic attire explored the 21-acre park, which featured live music, food trucks and classic vehicles, and historical demonstrations. The festival’s “Red, White & Woof Zone” drew large crowds as local pups competed for top honors in the Patriotic Dog Costume Contest.
“Seeing generations of families honor our past while building a legacy for the future is the perfect way to mark these incredible milestones,” said Monica Drake, historical museum operations manager for Pinellas County Parks & Conservation Resources.
The event also marked the grand opening of a new exhibition, the Many Voices, One Nation: Stories of Democracy in Our Parks exhibition in the Madeira Beach Cottage.
Many Voices, One Nation: Stories of Democracy in our Parks is created by Heritage Village and students at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg. Developed by the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street and the National Museum of American History, this collaborative exhibition is made possible through the support of the Ford Foundation, Florida Humanities and Pinellas County Parks & Conservation Resources.
