Pinellas County Government offices to be closed in observance of Independence Day

Pinellas County Government offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day. This includes departments under the Board of County Commissioners, Clerk’s Office, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser and Supervisor of Elections.

Parks & Conservation Resources
The administration office, Heritage Village, Brooker Creek Environmental Education Center and Weedon Island Cultural and Natural History Center will be closed on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4. Heritage Village, Brooker Creek Preserve Environmental Education Center, and Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center will reopen for normal hours on Sunday, July 5.

Human Services
Pinellas County Human Services office locations will be closed.

Building and Development Review Services
Pinellas County Building and Development Review Services office locations will be closed, and inspections will not be taking place.

Contractor Licensing/PCCLB
The Pinellas County Contractor Licensing department and Pinellas County Construction Licensing Board (PCCLB) will be closed.

Animal Services shelter
The offices and adoption center at Pinellas County Animal Services will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4.

Utilities
The Business and Customer Services Call Center and the lobby at 14 S. Fort Harrison will be closed. Customers can make payments online and can reach the answering service at (727) 464-4000 for emergencies.

Sixth Judicial Circuit courts
The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will not be in session Friday except for first-appearance advisory hearings and emergency situations.

Solid Waste Disposal Complex
The Solid Waste Disposal Complex will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 3, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.

The Administration Building, Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Center and Swap Shop will be closed on Friday, July 3. The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Center will be open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 4. The Swap Shop will be open 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.

Normal county operating hours will resume on Monday, July 6.
