Pinellas County to hold in-service day on Presidents Day

Pinellas County Government will hold an in-service training day for some County employees on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 16. This staff development day allows County departments and employees to discuss project priorities and align their annual work agendas with Pinellas County’s strategic plan.

The following offices will be closed as a result:

  • Utilities Customer Service
  • Human Services offices
  • Contractor Licensing department offices
  • Building and Development Review Services offices
  • Pinellas County Animal Services offices & adoption center
  • Supervisor of Elections offices

The Solid Waste Disposal Complex will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, the Solid Waste Administration Building, Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Center and Swap Shop will be closed.

County parks and preserves and the Florida Botanical Gardens will be open. Boat ramps and beach access areas will also be open. Heritage Village is closed on Mondays. The administrative offices of Parks and Conservation Resources will be closed.

The Clerk of the Circuit Court, Property Appraiser and Tax Collector offices will be open normal business hours on Monday.

The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will be in session with normal operating hours.

All Pinellas County facilities will resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
