Pinellas Recovers announces July 31 application deadline for 2 hurricane recovery programs

With more than 600 households approved for assistance and thousands of applications currently under review across all programs, Pinellas Recovers will close new applications for its Homebuyer Assistance and Disaster Relief Reimbursement Program for Renters on July 31, 2026.

Applications for the People First Homeowner and Landlord Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Homeowner Reimbursement, and Disaster Relief Reimbursement Program for Homeowners will remain open.

Applications for the Homebuyer Assistance and Disaster Relief Reimbursement (Renter) programs must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on July 31, 2026.

Residents can apply online and learn more at recover.pinellas.gov, visit an application center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or speak with a case manager by calling 727-606-3307 during the same hours.

Pinellas County also continues to offer a separate Down Payment Assistance Program (unrelated to Pinellas Recovers) with up to $75,000 for eligible lower-income homebuyers. Learn more at pinellas.gov/down-payment-assistance
