Commissioner Brian Scott was elected to the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners in 2022. He is a graduate of Seminole High School, attended St. Petersburg College, and attended USF Bayboro campus. Commissioner Scott is a business owner and President of Escot Bus Lines and past President of TRAX Insurance, LTD.
He has served in various leadership roles within the passenger ground transportation industry due to his expertise, including President of the Florida Motorcoach Association, Chairman of the United Motorcoach Association, and International Motorcoach Group. In his public service, he has served in several leadership positions for the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, Affordable Housing, Forward Pinellas, Historic Preservation, Tampa Bay Water, Value Adjustment Board, and Business Technology Services.
Commissioner Scott is fiscally conservative leader focused on transparency in government, keeping Pinellas County affordable, and preserving our county’s unique charm. In his spare time the commissioner is an avid runner and triathlete, and enjoys spending time with his wife Sandy, and dog Bentley.
