Project Update

Tierra Verde Recreation Center

County staff, the architects and members of the community met to review and discuss an updated plan for the Tierra Verde Recreation Center on February 16, 2023. The revised plans addressed feedback gathered at the meeting held October 12, 2022, and received during the open comment period online at Open Pinellas. The new renderings and floor plans are below.

New floor plan for the recreation center with offices and a conference room on the left side and a large multipurpose room and kitchen on the right side. The multi-purpose room seats 160 people and may have a movable wall to divide the room into two rooms.
The updated floor plan adds movable walls to divide the large and small conference rooms, enlarges the kitchen, adds another entrance to the multipurpose room, provides a kitchenette for the offices, and includes a room to accommodate future audiovisual needs.

The large open walkway will connect the building to the outdoors and provide access from a second stairway. This view is behind the building from the south.
