Project Status for 46th Avenue North Sidewalk Improvements

March 10, 2023: Based on the community’s preference the 2021 meetings, the project team presented two final options for feedback via an online survey that was created and mailed to addresses within the project area. The survey collected input from the Lealman community from late February to early March 2023.

After considering all the feedback, the project is moving forward with Alternative 1B, as confirmed by the survey results.

Alternative 1B

• The existing roadway will remain the same.
• The existing sidewalk and swale on the south side remain.
• A new, 8-foot multipurpose trail and shallow swale to absorb runoff on the north side.
• Bicycles would use the multipurpose trail.
• No curb constructed on either side of the road. High visibility pavement markings added.
