Project ID

003899A

Project Location

Unincorporated County near Seminole, Bay Pines Estates neighborhood - 62nd Ave. N., 59th Ave. N. and 100th Way N.

Project Status

Design: In progress

Project Overview

The project area accommodates drainage from approximately 37 acres within the Bay Pines Estates neighborhood. Stormwater runoff drains to a County-owned pond, then to Long Bayou. The area has a history of flooding during moderate and heavy rainfall events. The existing drainage infrastructure within the project area is minimal and needs to be improved to accommodate the stormwater runoff. The proposed improvements will lessen the duration of the flooding.

Project Goals

The objectives of this project are to reduce flooding and improve water quality. Improvements to the existing stormwater system will require some roadway repairs and County-owned utility pipe replacements.
