Bayside Health Clinic Expansion and Renovation Overview

Pinellas County has been awarded three grants from the Department of Health & Human Services, Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) for the expansion and alteration/renovation of the Bayside Health Clinic. The expansion of the Bayside Health Clinic comes from two HRSA capital grants totaling $1,344,333 in federal funding and $520,000 in County Capital Improvement Project funding. The expansion will add 2,400 sq ft. to the existing building for a total square footage of 5,400 sq ft. The alteration/renovation of the existing building comes from HRSA’s American Rescue Plan funding at a total cost of $352,250.

This project will allow for four new exam rooms that are responsive to pandemic conditions with negative pressure capabilities, an additional dental operatory for a total of three dental chairs, four new offices dedicated to behavioral health integration for on-site mental health and substance use services, a conference room, and improved professional office spaces for clinic care coordination staff, and storage.
