Highland/McMath Force Main Replacement
Project ID
003761A
Project Location
Highland Lakes Community and McMath Road in Palm Harbor
Project Status
Design: Not started
Project Overview
The Highland/McMath force main project proposes to construct over 5 miles of new 24-inch sewer force main near and through the Highland Lakes community area as the existing force mains are nearing the end of their useful life. With this new construction, we will use existing easements behind homes to align the new main with more accessible right-of-way areas, which will improve access for future maintenance.
Phase I
The first phase of this project will focus on the McMath Drive force main from Pump Station 355. The new main, which will be about 4,000 feet long, will be moved south to Tampa Road and connect to the existing pipe that leaves Pump Station 450.
Phase II
The second phase of this project will move about 26,000 feet of 20-inch pipe to run along Ridge Blvd, Camelot Court and several easements in the Highland Lakes and Alderman Road area, continuing west on Bee Pond Road to Pump Station 302.
