Sawgrass Lake Park Boardwalk & Tower Rehabilitation

Project Overview

Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources and Public Works undertook a project to rehabilitate the existing boardwalk and tower within Sawgrass Lake Park as part of the Countywide Annual Boardwalk, Fishing Pier and Observation Tower Improvements contract.

The contractor, Bayshore Construction, Inc., rehabilitated the existing boardwalk facilities. Construction activities were completed in phases and coordinated with Parks and Conservation Resources staff to reduce the impact on visitors.

Project Timeline

Phase A: July 2023 – March 2024: COMPLETE
Phase B: November 2023 – March 2024: COMPLETE
Phase C: March 2024 – August 2024: COMPLETE
