Alcohol and Drug Abuse Trust Fund

The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Trust Fund is generated from court fees in accordance with Sections 938.13 and 893.165 of the Florida Statutes and is intended to support licensed non-profit substance use providers with non-recurring special projects.

Pinellas County Human Services administers a competitive, online application process for the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Trust Fund through Neighborly Software. The annual funding allocation is approximately $35,000.00 and grant awards range from $1,000.00 to $10,000.00.

All applications undergo a three-tiered review process, beginning with a Responsiveness and Completeness Review by Pinellas County Human Services to ensure required submission guidelines are met. Applications deemed complete will then undergo a Fiscal Review by Human Services Business Services to verify that agencies and proposed budgets are fiscally sound and appropriate for the program. Applicants must meet all established eligibility requirements to advance. The Substance Abuse Advisory Board Review Committee will review applications and make funding recommendations for final approval by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners (BCC).
