Disaster Timecard Coding Instructions

General Instructions

  • The below instructions apply to time worked during a declared disaster period by your Appointing Authority. This is when non-essential County operations have been suspended because of an emergency situation.
  • Use the appropriate Project and Task codes.

    • Employees of the Board of County Commissioners, Business Technology Services, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, County Attorney, Human Resources, Office of Human Rights: Contact Payroll by email at payroll@mypinellasclerk.gov or call (727) 464-8392.
    • Employees of Forward Pinellas, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, and Tax Collector: Call or email your department’s payroll contact.

Classified and Classified Excluded Employees

On the days the County was closed and you worked, enter your hours using one of the following codes.

Scenario Timecard Code
Onsite work Disaster Premium Onsite
Remote work Disaster Premium Remote
Stayed overnight/after shift during a lockdown Disaster Premium Onsite

Exempt Employees

On the days the County was closed and you worked, enter your hours using one of the following codes.

Onsite work Exempt Disaster Premium Onsite
Remote work Exempt Disaster Premium Remote
Stayed overnight/after shift during a lockdown Exempt Disaster Premium Onsite

Note: These timecard codes do not apply to executive-level staff or remote regular duties.

Employees Who Didn’t Work

On the days the County was closed, enter your hours using one of the following codes.

Previously scheduled leave (annual leave, personal day, floating holiday) LWP Disaster
Called out Use appropriate leave code
