Frequently Asked Questions
When will I see the survey results?
In November, Human Resources will publish overall results for the Unified Personnel System in The Pen newsletter and on this webpage.
Your organization’s results will be shared by your leadership. Each Appointing Authority will receive their results from our third-party vendor Polco and will share the information with their employees.
Is the survey really anonymous?
YES! Your responses are 100% anonymous. An outside vendor, Polco, conducted the survey. Only Polco can see the raw data including demographic information such as employee department, age, sex, ethnicity, etc. Neither Human Resources nor your manager can see names or individual responses.
In no case will information be reported to Pinellas County in such a way that an individual’s identity can be known.
What if I have questions?
Please email our vendor Polco at nes@polco.us regarding questions or confirmation that your survey was submitted.
When and how was the survey distributed?
On Monday, August 21, employees received the first message in their work email from Polco with a unique link to the electronic survey. Reminder emails were sent weekly. Employees had 4 weeks to complete the survey.
When did the survey close?
The deadline to complete the survey was 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 15. Due to Hurricane Idalia, the deadline was extended from September 11.
Were the questions the same as last time?
The questions were very similar to the previous surveys in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2021 to allow data comparison.
Will individual results be shared?
No. Individual survey submissions are confidential and will not be provided to Human Resources, managers, supervisors, directors, or Appointing Authorities in such a way that individual responses are discernible.
Each Appointing Authority will receive a summary of results that will then be shared with the leadership team, managers, and employees. This data will be used to plan actions that need to be taken as a result of the survey. This summary looks at trends and protects individual responses.
Will comments be shared with managers?
Comments will be shared with the top leaders (Appointing Authorities). At the discretion of the Appointing Authority, survey comments may be released to employees.
