County Parks

Open Seven Days a Week 7 a.m. to Sunset
Most county parks are closed two days throughout the year, the day after Thanksgiving and Dec. 25.
Fort De Soto Park is the exception. It is open all year.

Brooker Creek Preserve

Preserve and Wildland Hiking Trail Tours

Open Seven Days a Week 7 a.m. to about one hour before Sunset
Daily closing time is posted at the entrance to the Preserve and at the hiking trailheads.
Closed the day after Thanksgiving and Dec. 25

Environmental Education Center Hours

Open Thursday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Open Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Closed Monday to Wednesday and County Holidays

Weedon Island Preserve

Preserve and Hiking/Paddling/Interpretive Trail Hours

Open Seven Days a Week 7 a.m. to about 15 minutes before Sunset
Daily closing time is posted at the entrance to the Preserve and at the hiking trailheads.

Cultural & Natural History Center Hours

Open Thursday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Open Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Closed Monday to Wednesday and County Holidays

Heritage Village Museum & Park

Open Wednesday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Open Sunday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Closed Monday, Tuesday and County Holidays

The pedestrian gates are open daily. The historic homes and gift shop are closed on Monday, Wednesday, and County Holidays.

Parks & Conservation Resources Administration Office

Open Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Closed on weekends and County Holidays

Florida Botanical Gardens

Open seven days a week 7 a.m. to sunset.
Closed the day after Thanksgiving and Dec. 25

UF/IFAS Extension

Open Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
