Belleair Boat Ramp

Chester Ochs 4-H Educational Center
The parking lot will be closed for regrading Monday 8/17 and Tuesday 8/18.
Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations
All publicly available EV charging stations at Parks and Conservation Resources facilities are no longer available for charging as of June 1, 2026. View more information here.
Fort De Soto Park
Bay Pier Closed for Cleaning Aug. 8, 2026
The Fort De Soto bay pier will be closed for cleaning from park open until 12 p.m., on Aug. 8, 2026.
Recycling Center Upgrade
Construction of an improved recycling drop-off center in the Fort De Soto boat ramp overflow parking lot began March 16 and is expected to last through summer 2026. Construction activity is limited to the boat ramp overflow parking area and will have minimal impact on park operations. The recycling drop-off center located a 1/4 mile north of the construction site is open during this construction project. Residents can find additional recycling drop-off centers on this map.
Boat Ramps
All floating docks are out of service except one. The contractor for the boat ramp project plans to start the demolition of the old docks at the end of August, then begin concrete repairs before setting the new docks, gangways and handrails. Ramp construction will occur in phases, with three to four ramps closed at a time. Each group of ramps is expected to remain closed for about a month, weather permitting, before work moves to the next group. The ramp is expected to fully re-open in winter 2026. John Chesnut Sr. Park
Habitat Restoration Project 2026
A contractor hired by Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources is treating exotic aquatic vegetation across an 8.5 acre pond in John Chesnut Sr. Park. Work began on May 13 with four treatments scheduled over 12 months. The pond is being treated in sections to mitigate anoxic conditions and fish kills. Exotic vegetation is detrimental to many of Florida’s native plants and animals. Removal of invasive exotic species is consistent with efforts to manage and protect the park’s natural resources. Philippe Park
Playground Closed
The main playground at Philippe Park is closed indefinitely while a new playground is in the planning stages.
The second playground featuring rock structures remains available and is visible from the main road as you continue through the park. John Chesnut Park, located at 2200 East Lake Road, also features two large playgrounds..
Restroom #5 & #8 Closed for Repairs
Restroom #5 and #8 on the north side of the park near the Philippe Pkwy. entrance are currently closed for repairs. Indoor plumbing for restrooms at the park is being replaced on a rolling basis with construction expected to end in fall 2026.
Raymond H. Neri Park
Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources is rehabilitating the existing observation platforms at Raymond H. Neri Park as part of the Countywide Annual Boardwalk, Fishing Pier, and Observation Tower Improvements contract. This project is funded through Penny for Pinellas.
The contractor, Bayshore Construction, Inc., will rehabilitate Observation Platforms A, B, and C one at a time through the end of summer 2026. To maintain public safety, each platform will be temporarily closed while work is underway. The remaining observation platforms will remain open whenever possible.Impacts to the walking trails are expected to be minimal. However, visitors are encouraged to use caution, follow posted signage, and remain aware of construction activities while traveling through the park.
Duke Energy Maintenance
Due to Duke Energy maintenance, the east pedestrian bridge and southeast pedestrian entrance to the park are temporarily closed. This closure is expected to last through October 2026. Please contact Duke Energy for more information, 877-480-2446.
Sand Key Park
While repair work to the seawall was completed, the section will remain closed until October 2026 for equipment staging for City of Clearwater’s Marina construction project. For information about the project, visit the Clearwater Beach Marina Replacement Construction Project – City of Clearwater.
War Veterans’ Memorial Park Boat Ramp
Boat ramp closed for repairs through late 2026.
