Project ID
000967C
Project Location
Pinellas Trail, over the Lake Tarpon outfall canal
Project Status
Construction: In progress
Project Description
There is one remaining gap in the northern segment of the Pinellas Trail, referred to as the Pinellas Trail North Gap – Lake Tarpon Outfall Canal Bridge. This remaining north segment will connect the recently constructed trail along East Lake Road with the recently constructed segment along Countryside Boulevard south of Tampa Road.
The project generally consists of a paved 12-foot-wide surface with 2-foot-wide unpaved shoulders on both sides. However, in a few areas, the trail width will transition to an 8-foot paved surface due to property restrictions. The trail will be designed and constructed to meet all federal and state Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and safety standards.
